Happy Halloween!
The ghouls and goblins were out at EES today! As were the athletes, wizards, animals, and superheroes. From grade 6 students on a field trip to the cemetery to learn about Essex's history, to our youngest students in preschool taking part in their very first Halloween Parade, today was a huge success.
I want to thank all the staff and families who help support the classroom celebrations and make today memorable for the kids. We couldn't do it without your help.
District Management Group
The Boards of Education have contracted with District Management Group (DMG) to facilitate conversations with various stakeholders about the vision and future of our schools. They will hold a community forum at Essex Elementary School on Wednesday, November 4, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm in the cafeteria. Food and child care will be provided. Please consider attending.
Veterans Day
Wednesday, November 11, is Veterans Day, and we will honor the men and women who served our country in the military with our annual Honor Walk. We invite veterans to join us at 9:15 am and line the hallways as our students greet you and share their appreciation through grade-level projects and presentations. Please get in touch with your classroom teacher if you have any questions.
General Updates
Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, November 1 at 2:00 am. Please remember to set your clocks back and check the batteries in your smoke alarms.
Wishing you all a safe and fun Halloween!
In partnership,
Dave Kitzman
